I’m Gilbert—38, SoCal born and raised, with a soft spot for loud guitars, fast drums, and the kind of lyrics that stick in your head for days. I’m the guy who still believes in going to shows instead of just streaming them, and I’ll never say no to crate-digging for vinyl or catching a band in a grimy dive bar.

When I’m not soundtracking my day with punk, metal, or hardcore, I’m usually cooking (bonus points if it’s something new or weird), fishing, or exploring hidden spots around L.A. I’ve got a knack for telling people things they didn’t know—sometimes it’s music trivia, sometimes it’s random history, sometimes it’s just “hey, did you know your steak would taste better with a little MSG?”

I’ve been called a mix of thoughtful, caring, with a sarcastic sense of humor. I’m big on genuine connections, people who can hold their own in a conversation, and those who aren’t afraid to be themselves.
